This small rug was made using the cut-off edges from woven lengths of wool, which would usually be thrown away by woollen mills. We "rescued" bundles of this selvedge waste, and turned it into a sweet, soft taupe-coloured rug with a tufted floral decoration made by wrapping waste wool warp yarn around the rug warp.
Measuring 20" by 41", this would make a lovely accent piece for a bedroom, bathroom or sitting area. It is dense and warm, and a lovely feeling underfoot.
